Mass Shooting in Alabama
Alabamans were shocked in 2023 when Dadeville, Alabama made national headlines after a mass shooting. A sweet-sixteen birthday party turned from a joyful celebration to a flurry of over 80 bullets. Four young people were killed and 28 were wounded. Among those killed and injured were scholar-athletes whose hopes for a bright future were ended in the mass shooting.
